How Centrifugal Fans And Blowers Work

To determine the specific needs of our clients, a question we must ask is if their fan or blower is going to be used as a forced draft application or induced draft.

High Temperature Plug Fans

High temperature plug fans circulate air at a low pressure for high temperature equipment applications such as industrial ovens and furnaces.

About the High Temperature Plug Fan

High temperature plug fans are specially designed to convey high-temperature process airstreams and can handle temperatures of up to 1800 degrees F. The fan typically mounts directly on the equipment with the fan wheel placed inside the hot enclosure. An insulated panel between the wheel and fan drive protects the motor from overheating.

If a fan or blower that is not properly designed for this purpose is used, it will catastrophically fail as the temperatures are above its rated design will cause a loss in both time and resources.

We offer plug fans designed for temperatures up to 1700°F with wheel designs that may be radial/ paddle wheel, backward inclined, or forward curved. Arrangements can be belt-drive or direct-drive, and the fan can be installed with or without a housing scroll.

Heavy Duty Cooling Fans

Harsh industrial working environments like steel mills and foundries require heavy-duty cooling fans to cool workers, materials, and finished products. Without proper cooling, the industrial environment can become unbearable and dangerous to both people and equipment.

We partner with Penn Fan to provide heavy-duty cooling fans that are durable, safe, and effective for challenging operating environments. The fans can be mounted on floor stands (portable/stationary), beams/walls and in crane cabs.

If saving space is a necessity, wall and roof fans are also available for general ventilation for industrial and commercial applications.
